Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Regional Engineering College, Jalandhar is the seventeenth and the youngest member of the family of Regional Engineering Colleges in the country. These Colleges symbolise National Integration and Quality Education in the field of Engineering and Technology.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Regional Engineering College, Jalandhar campus is spread over 154 acres of land, 12 Kms from Jalandhar Bus Stand and 10 kms from Jalandhar City Railway Station, on the Jalandhar- Amritsar Bye-pass. The College can be approached by boarding a local bus bound for Kartarpur from Jalandhar Bus-Stand and getting down at Bidhipur Railway Crossing from where it is at a walking distance of 1/2 Km. Auto-Rickshaws are also available both at Jalandhar City Railway Station as well as at Jalandhar Bus Stand. Jalandhar is an important town of Punjab and is situated between the rivers of Sutlej and Beas, on Sher Shah Suri Marg. It is an important Railway Station on Delhi - Amritsar Railway line, and is a known educational, cultural and literary centre of Punjab, and internationally famous industrial centre for sports goods, leather goods and hand tools.

The primary goal of the College is to impart instructions based on a modern integrated curriculum, preparing students for Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Technology. Keeping in view the fast expansion of knowledge and emergence of new areas of specialisation, the College has introduced emerging disciplines of Engineering and Technology, some of them introduced at undergraduate level for the first time in the country. The College is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and is following the semester system of examination.
