Medium of Instruction : Hindi and English. The Course of study gives equal weightage to Theory and Practical and Activity Classes. The course components for the B.P.E. Part – I Part – II and Part – III. Classes as follows : Part – I (THEORY) - Introduction to Education and Physical Education. PART – II (THEORY) - Physiology and Exercise Physiology :
- Management of Physical Education . ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS - A candidate must have passed with minimum 40% marks, (Relaxation of SC/.ST/OBC
as per equivalent examination of the U.P. Board Government Rules). Certificate in Physical Education (C.P.Ed) of two years duration from a recognized Board/ University. Candidate must not be more than 21 years old on 1St July of the academic session in the running year of admission, however these may be relaxed upto 25 years in case of qualified in service teacher of Physical Education and SC/ST/OBC candidate. The candidate must have qualified in the Entrance Examination. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The Entrance Examination is divided into two parts. PART–A: WRITTEN ENTRANCE EXAMINATION ( 100 marks) There shall be one paper of 90 minutes duration carrying 100 marks containing 100 objective type questions based on general studies, current affairs and general knowledge with specific reference 10 sports. PART – B : PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET) ( 100 marks) 1. 50 M Run NOTE 1. Only short listed candidate shall be call for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The short listing of the Candidate shall be done on the basis of written Entrance Examination upto the three times the total number of seats, with separate short lists for candidates of the SC/ST/OBC and open categories.
